The panel of the UEFA Champions League has finally unveiled the official team of the week for the second-leg of the semi-final encounters. The players on each position were voted in by the fans due to their excellent performances in this match-week.
In my view, The eleven players that made the official team of the week fully deserves it due to their impressive displays for their respective clubs.
Here is the official UEFA Champions League team of the week;
Goalkeeper;
The Borussia Dortmund shot-stopper Gregor Kobel who kept a clean-sheet during their 1 - 0 win over Paris Saint Germain made the list.
Center backs;
The Borussia Dortmund defenders which include Nico Schlotterbeck and Mat Hummels were paired together in the center-back position.
Full backs;
The Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal who was instrumental for his team during their home victory over Bayern Munich was named in the right-back position while Borussia Dortmund’s Ian Maatsen was named as left-back.
Central Midfielders;
The duo of Vitinha and Julian Brandt who were both superb for their respective clubs were paired together in the central-midfield position.
Wide Midfielders;
The Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho who was instrumental for his team during their hard-fought victory over Paris Saint Germain was named in the right-midfield position while Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham was named as left wide midfielder.
Attackers;
The Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior who recorded a goal during their comeback victory over Bayern Munich made the list and was paired alongside Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Fullkrug in the center-forward position.
