Ekiti Governor Pledges Infrastructure Upgrades for NYSC Orientation Camp

According to DAILY POST reports, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, the Governor of Ekiti State, has reiterated his administration's commitment to addressing the infrastructural challenges faced by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp in the state.

During the 2024 Batch B Stream I swearing-in ceremony, Governor Oyebanji assured the corps members of the government's dedication to providing the necessary support to improve the camp's facilities and ensure the effective functioning of the NYSC program.

Represented by the Ekiti State Commissioner for Youth Development, Adedayo Gold Adesola, Governor Oyebanji warmly welcomed all the corps members to the state and promised them a safe and supportive environment while serving the nation.

The Governor commended the hard work and determination of the corps members, reminding them of the NYSC scheme's foundational purpose of driving unity and development across the country.

He urged the corps members to be proactive in addressing the challenges of unemployment, corruption, and poverty, assuring them that the state is committed to rewarding excellence.

Earlier, the State's NYSC Coordinator, Riko Abdullahi Shuaibu, noted that the high level of cooperation among the corps members has contributed to the smooth administration of the camp.

Riko also assured the people of Ekiti State that by the end of the three-week orientation program, the corps members would be well-acquainted with the social, cultural, and economic settings of the state.

The Chief Judge of Ekiti State, represented by Justice Olatawura, was present to administer the oath of allegiance to the corps members deployed to the state.
