Former Nigerian Senator and human rights activist Shehu Sani has taken to his official X handle to criticizes the Anchor Borrowers program, stating that the N2 trillion spent resulted in rice pyramids that quickly disappeared. 

 

The House of Representatives is investigating the N1.12 trillion Anchor Borrowers Scheme, a CBN-funded agricultural program, to determine its effectiveness. 


The investigation will encompass NIRSAL, BoI, and other agencies involved in the scheme. This decision comes after Rep. Chike Okafor's motion, citing mismanagement of agricultural funds as a contributing factor to food scarcity and malnutrition in Nigeria. 


The former senator and activist Shehu Sani took to his X handle to air out his view and thought.


However, Shehu Sani concluded his statement by claiming that the N2 trillion spent on the Anchor Borrowers program, now under investigation by the House of Representatives, resulted in rice pyramids that vanished quickly. 


In his tweet, Shehu Sani wrote below:
