According to the Police PRO, the head of the team narrated the situation where he said one of the internet fraudsters arrested by the agency allegedly wanted to use his mother for money ritual.

He wrote: "He also painfully stated that a mother who sold land and other valuables to train a child in school, the mother, when she was hungry, did not kill the child for ritual purpose, but when the child grew up, he decided that it's that same mother that he wanted to use for money ritual."

According to Edafe, the agency officials also noted that some hotels in the state have turned into the homes of underage boys who take fraud as a source of living and even have the temerity to wear uniforms and form associations.

He added that the EFCC needed the collaboration of the state police command in order not to allow internet fraudsters to have a free ride in the state and in order put a stop to the trend.
