Former Manchester United forward, Louis Saha, has urged his former club to sign Nigerian international Victor Osimhen, amidst intense transfer speculation surrounding the striker's future, according to Sport Brief. Saha, who played for Manchester United from 2004 to 2008, believes Osimhen's impressive goal-scoring record and attitude make him an ideal fit for the Old Trafford outfit.

Osimhen, 25, has been making waves in the transfer market, with top clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, PSG, Bayern, and Manchester United vying for his signature. The Nigerian striker's impressive form for Napoli, where he scored 15 goals in 25 matches last season and 26 league goals in the 2022/2023 season, has made him a hot commodity in the transfer market.

Saha, who spoke to GZone, praised Osimhen's work rate, attitude, and goal-scoring ability, drawing comparisons with legendary strikers like David Trezeguet and Ruud van Nistelrooy. "My dream summer signing would be Victor Osimhen from Napoli. He would really fit the bill at Old Trafford. If I were them, I'd be doing everything to try and get him from Napoli," Saha said.

The former French international striker added, "I'd love to see him in a United shirt next season. His attitude, his work rate, he is so good in front of goal. He has a belief and confidence that reminds me of David Trezeguet or Ruud van Nistelrooy, strikers who attract the ball to their feet. Proper strikers are dying, but it's easy to see that Osimhen is one of them."

Manchester United are yet to make a formal bid for Osimhen, but Saha's endorsement may prompt the club to consider a move for the Nigerian striker. With the transfer window still open, it remains to be seen whether Manchester United will heed Saha's advice and make a move for Osimhen.
