Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has shared insights into a noteworthy encounter with a past president.

In a video posted by the Official Peter Obi Media Center on YouTube, Obi reminisced about a conversation where he was informed by the president that his performance as the governor of Anambra State had left nobody happy.

Recalling the exchange, Obi revealed his steadfast commitment to delivering tangible improvements, particularly in the education sector, despite facing criticism and discontent.

He asserted that his focus was on achieving substantive progress rather than merely ensuring public satisfaction.

Obi stressed that during his tenure as governor, he remained resolute in addressing critical issues, notably emphasizing education reform as a priority.

He said that, despite encountering challenges and detractors, his dedication to implementing meaningful changes persisted.

Obi stated, "When I became governor, I used to quarrel with people. People were not happy with me.

"If you, the elites, even today, are not happy with me, and it's not that... I know because I went to see a president who told me, Peter, nobody is happy with you, and I said, Mr. President, I didn't promise happiness. I promise to fix school."
