The surprising London reunion

Chelsea have signed Dewsbury Hall a day after selling another academy talent, Lewis Hall to Newcastle united.

The young defender was on loan at the Magpies throughout last season when Chelsea was led by Mauricio as the the head coach. The blues received £28 million for the defender following the profit and sustainability rules that the club was facing.

Dewsbury input explained

The new Chelsea midfielder has been admired by his former coach who admires his style and prowess as a midfielder. Chelsea has around seven players for the same role and there are speculations about trimming the club before the end of the transfer window.

There are some online concerns about Gallagher's future who's contract expires next year. The blues midfielder is currently playing for England at the ongoing Euro 2024 tournament in Germany.

Last month in an interview Gallagher stated that he is a Chelsea player and was focusing about playing for England despite his enigmatic future at Chelsea. The blues are yet to table a new contract for the talented midfielder who's developed interest to several clubs including Aston Villa and Tottenham.

Dewsbury will help revamp Chelsea who are perhaps vulnerable to injuries as experienced during last season. However, the new midfielder will allow Palmer to either play as a winger or number ten as they alternate with Gallagher. Also Hall can be inverted to a number ten and help to relieve Palmer who at the moment doesn't have a perfect sub.

Chelsea's sporting directors tactics have helped them to sign Dewsbury Hall.

A few days ago, It is understood that Brighton were on the verge of signing the former Leicester city midfielder in a deal that involved cash plus a player. The seagulls efforts collapsed when hall made it clear that he was willing to reunite with his former coach at Chelsea.

There are rumors about Chelsea closely following Brighton and Hove Albion attacking midfielder Julio Enciso. Laurence Stewart will have a hard time to convince his former boss for the deal to go through. This follows after Chelsea presumably hijacked Dewsbury Hall who was heading to Brighton late last month. Julio value is around £50 million (€60 million) which Chelsea can consider in order to sign the Paraguay international.

More loans for next season

Players like Santos have been recalled after spending his loan move to Strasbourg in France. Chelsea's midfield will require some adjustment that will lead to loaning of more players. I believe that this will be decided during the upcoming preseason when the new head coach will be assessing the players.
