A middle-aged man who was reportedly abducted by unknown people on Monday morning has been found dumped in Roysambyu. Paul Mwangi aka Jiji was abducted at 5 am in Githurai, Nairobi.
The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) president Faith Odhiambo took to her X account and called for the immediate release of Paul and demanded an end to the abductions that have been happening in the country.
''Paul Mwangi Wambui aka Jiji was abducted this morning at 5 am at Githurai. This must come to an end! Release Paul immediately!” the LSK president tweeted. According to renowned activist Boniface Mwangi, the victim was tortured by his abductors and dumped in Roysamby along Thika Road.
''Paul Mwangi Wambui aka Jiji has been found dumped in Roysambu. His abductors also injured him,'' Boniface tweeted. This comes even after President William Ruto maintained that abductions and extra-judicial killings would never happen under his watch.
The head of state during a media roundtable at State House was asked about the abductions by Citizen TV's Linus Kaikai. In his response, Ruto noted that the police have not been conducting abductions but arrests, stating that all those who have been reported missing have been traced and found at various police stations.
