Tony Okocha, Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has expressed surprise and disappointment at the sudden change in stance by local government chairmen in the state. In an interview with TVC News, Okocha recalled how the same chairmen had protested for seven days, cooking and dancing in the streets, to pressure INEC to announce Governor Fubara's election result.

Okocha wondered what had gone wrong just three months later, leading the chairmen to now oppose Fubara's government. He questioned the sincerity of their earlier actions, suggesting that their current stance may be driven by personal interests rather than the greater good of the state.

In his words;

When it was almost difficult for INEC to announce Fubara's result, the same Local Government Chairmen took to the street for seven days, cooking and dancing on the street, protesting to INEC national to authorize the INEC here to announce the result. So what has gone wrong three months later?
