Yoruba movie actress Kudirat Ogunro has shared her perspective on infidelity in relationships, stating that she would not leave her husband if he cheated. Instead, she believes in taking proactive steps to strengthen the bond in her marriage. In an interview posted on the official YouTube channel of Oyinmomo TV, she discussed her stance on cheating, as well as her views on domestic violence.
Ogunro explained that some men are not interested in marrying multiple wives but still engage in affairs outside their marriage. While some are discreet and continue to fulfill their responsibilities at home, others neglect their duties, making their infidelity more damaging to the relationship. She believes that how a man handles his extramarital affairs plays a crucial role in determining its impact on his marriage.
For Ogunro, walking away from a marriage due to infidelity is not her first option. Instead of leaving, she prefers to explore ways to rekindle the intimacy in the relationship. She expressed her willingness to make necessary adjustments and try new approaches to satisfy her husband, believing that this could reduce his interest in seeking affection elsewhere.
However, while she maintains a tolerant stance on infidelity, she firmly condemns domestic violence. She stressed that no man has the right to physically assault his wife, regardless of the circumstances. According to her, any man who resorts to violence is crossing an unacceptable boundary in a relationship.
Ogunro also acknowledged that infidelity remains a common issue in relationships, but she believes that women can play a role in addressing the problem. Rather than reacting with anger or separation, she advocates for communication and effort in keeping the marriage strong. She sees infidelity as a challenge that can sometimes be managed with understanding and compromise.
According to her, "Some men are not ready to marry two wives, but they prefer having an affair with another woman outside. Some men are so clever to the extent that their wives won't even find out that they are cheating on them because they take care of their families, but there are some men who cheat on their wives, and they don't perform their duties at home as they should."
