Following the ongoing political drama in Rivers State between former local government chairmen and governor Siminalayi Fubara, Nollywood veteran actress, Hilda Dokubo has taken to social media to air her opinion.
Recall that 21 out of the 23 ex-council chairmen in Rivers State had few days ago, stormed the various council secretariats in the state in solidarity with the barricades by the Nigerian Police, pending the decision of the Court of Appeal on the elongation of their tenure in office.
And so Rivers State Labour Party chairperson, Hilda Dokubo in reaction to such protest, took to her official Instagram account to state that in the last one week they have watched a group of people display their level of "stupidity" in public.
According to Hilda Dokubo, the former governors of Rivers State appointed their own caretaker committee chairmen and none of them disrupted their tenures in office, adding that the former local government chairmen were not not stopped from assuming their offices and it is not right for them to stop the newly inaugurated caretaker committee chairmen from working.
Hilda Dokubo then asked the ex-council chairmen that;
"Who told you people that Local Government council is a monarchy? Is it your father's right that you will sit in that office till day break?"
