According to vanguard news, Rivers State Governor, Similanayi Fubara, has addressed the recent Appeal Court decision that reinstated 27 lawmakers loyal to former Governor Nyesom Wike. Speaking to journalists in Khana Local Government Area on Friday, Fubara expressed confidence in divine guidance, referencing Psalm 23:5 to highlight resilience in the face of challenges.

Fubara reassured the citizens of Rivers State that his administration remains committed to delivering good governance despite the ongoing legal and political challenges. "We are not deterred. We have made our promises, and we will continue to give you good governance, no matter how difficult it is," Fubara stated.

He emphasized that his administration's priorities include health, education, and agriculture. The Governor announced plans to inspect various project sites in Degema, Ahoada, Omoku, and Rumuigbo, focusing on the development of Modern General and Psychiatric Hospitals.

Fubara expressed satisfaction with the ongoing zonal hospital project in Khana, which aims to serve the local communities, including his constituency of Opobo/Nkoro. He assured the public that these healthcare facilities would be completed and made operational, enhancing the quality of healthcare in the state.

Highlighting the inherited challenges, Fubara noted that his administration took over non-functional zonal hospitals and has already released funds for their reconstruction and expansion. This initiative is part of his broader strategy to provide quality healthcare services to the people of Rivers State.
