Sokol Falls As Russian Military Crushes 2,050 Ukrainian Soldiers in Donetsk

According to the report from Reuters, the Russian Defense Ministry has announced the successful liberation of Sokol town in Donetsk, along with the elimination of 2,050 Ukrainian military personnel. They also reported the interception of numerous missiles launched by Ukrainian forces within a 24-hour timeframe.

The ministry provided details on the ongoing military operations in Ukraine. In the northern region, Russian forces strengthened their positions and repelled five attacks, resulting in 210 Ukrainian casualties, including the destruction of a tank and various Western artillery pieces and machinery.

In the western regions of Kharkov and Donetsk provinces, Russian troops fortified their defenses, successfully repelling two attacks and causing 540 Ukrainian casualties. They also destroyed several artillery pieces, weapons, vehicles, three ammunition depots, and three electronic stations.

In the south, Russian forces improved their defensive positions, leading to 650 Ukrainian casualties and the destruction of artillery, an electronic warfare station, vehicles, and seven ammunition depots.

After liberating Sokol town in Donetsk, the central forces repelled five additional attacks, resulting in 415 Ukrainian casualties. They also destroyed armored vehicles, including American Bradleys, along with other Western machinery and artillery.

In the east, Russian troops bolstered their positions and repelled an attack, causing 115 Ukrainian casualties and destroying enemy artillery and machinery.

In the Dnieper region, Russian forces inflicted significant losses on the Ukrainian army in Kherson and Zaporozhye provinces, resulting in 120 Ukrainian casualties and the destruction of machinery, artillery, an ammunition depot, and an electronic station.

The Ministry also reported the destruction of various military assets, including lighting and guidance radars, two S-300 platforms, an oil refinery, a fuel depot, an arms depot, and an unmanned aerial vehicle airstrip.

Additionally, they intercepted 55 Ukrainian missiles, including Storm Shadow and HARM missiles, three American HIMARS, and a guided bomb "Hammer."
