The country has witnessed mass protests on Tuesdays and Thursdays for nearly three consecutive weeks now.
The prootests that were full of youthful generation consisting of millenials and Generation Zs at first displayed unity from different professional bodies with lawyer and doctors also joining the protestors while offering free services if need was there.
Doctors were commended for issuing their services both on the scene if demonstrations and at their workplaces. This will however not be the case after the medics issued their latest statement following incidents witnessed yesterday, Tuesday 2nd July 2024.
Following reports of goons taking advantage of the protests, with several shops and property invaded and looted, medics have decided to withdraw their services as reported by Citizen TV.
"Medics for Kenya withdraws services to protesters countrywide citing invasion of demos by goons, founders say decision reached after discussion with stakeholders." Citizen TV reported. This comes aftr chaos was reported in Kisii, Kisumu, Mombasa and Nairobi following the recent protests.
