Tony Okocha, the Caretaker Chairman of the Rivers State All Progressives Congress (APC) and a supporter of Nyesom Wike's faction, has expressed delight with a recent statement by an Appeal Court judge.

Okocha, a key figure in the state's political landscape, highlighted the significance of the judge's remarks, which underscored the frivolous nature of handling matters improperly before the court.

Speaking in an interview on Channels Television's Politics Today, Okocha emphasised that the decisions made by the judges were legally sound and would help address numerous grievances within Rivers State.

He pointed out that the state's judicial system has been plagued by various court orders, some of which were obtained through questionable means.

According to him, the Appeal Court's recent actions have brought much-needed clarity to these issues.

Okocha further explained that the consolidation of these cases by the Appeal Court has streamlined the legal process, making it easier for the parties involved to seek justice.

He asserted that any aggrieved party now has the option to take their case to the Supreme Court if they are dissatisfied with the Appeal Court's ruling.

This development, he argued, would ultimately lead to a more transparent and fair judicial process in the state.

The Caretaker Chairman also noted that the Appeal Court's decision to consolidate the matters was a crucial step in resolving the numerous disputes that have plagued Rivers State.

By bringing these cases together, the court has made it possible for a comprehensive review of the issues at hand, which Okocha believes will result in more effective and just outcomes.

Okocha said, ''The reasoning that led to the decisions of the three-man Court of Appeal panel is germane.

"One of the Judges said something, and we were happy with what she said in court. She said that because of the fact that these matters are not properly before the Court that anybody who ventured into it was doing what she referred to as a frivolous act.

"What the Judges did is sound on law and it's going to settle a lot of grouses in the state."
