Arsenal fan favourite, Emile Smith Rowe, is set to inform the club of his desire to leave North London this summer.

After joining the Gunners at just ten years of age, the versatile attacker has called The Emirates his home for 14 years. Being born in Croydon, it was written in the stars for him to turn into a club hero alongside Bukayo Saka whilst donning red and white, but as is often the case with Arsenal prospects, injuries have hampered his career thus far.

The 23 year-old suffered a groin injury in September 2022, and was forced to watch from the sidelines for 121 days during his long journey to match-fitness. Just nine months after he was back on the pitch, in October 2023, a knee injury, which was later followed by a minor ankle bruise, saw the midfielder unavailable for many of last season’s fixtures.

With the squad quickly improving, as Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Ødegaard are just a few of multiple Arsenal players who can operate in the same position and roles as Smith Rowe, the England international has made the decision to looking elsewhere for regular first-team action this summer.

The fan favourite has never been short of potential suitors, as Aston Villa, Fulham and Crystal Palace have all made enquiries regarding Smith Rowe’s lucrative signature this window.

With Aston Villa being managed by his former boss, Unai Emery, as well as the ability to boast Champions League football at Villa Park next season, we could see the Arsenal academy graduate make a move to The Villans.
