Cole Palmer has surpassed Eden Hazard's record for the most goal involvements in a Premier League season with his recent goal for Chelsea against Brighton.

Palmer, 22, scored a brilliant header in the 2-1 away victory. The goal, in the 34th minute, was Palmer's 22nd in the league this season, and he has also provided 10 assists. His total contributions to goals now stand at 32, outperforming Hazard's best season at Chelsea.

Additionally, Palmer has matched Frank Lampard's record of 22 Premier League goals in a single season and has equaled Lampard's overall goal tally for Chelsea in the 2009/10 season. Palmer's impressive performance has drawn comparisons to Chelsea legends like Didier Drogba and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

He has been a crucial player for Chelsea this season, scoring nine opening goals in the Premier League. Despite interest from Brighton, Palmer chose to join Chelsea last summer, a decision that has proved fruitful for both him and the club.
