The Traditional Rulers Forum (TRF) of Anioma, Delta State, has thrown its weight behind Senator Ned Nwoko's advocacy for the establishment of Anioma State.

In a recent meeting held at Obior, Aniocha North Local Government Area, the royal fathers issued a five-point communiqué affirming their unified support for the initiative.

Led by the Chairman of the forum, Obi Uche Irenuma II, represented by Obi Ofuokwu III of Abavo Kingdom, the session provided Senator Nwoko with a platform to outline his legislative efforts towards state creation.

According to Daily Post, the monarchs acknowledged the potential benefits of Anioma State, including enhanced economic growth and increased political representation for the region.

However, the TRF urged Senator Nwoko to broaden consultations with all stakeholders to ensure inclusivity in the statehood pursuit.

They emphasized the importance of engaging diverse opinions within the Anioma community to strengthen the quest for statehood.

Senator Nwoko, in his address, highlighted the socio-economic advantages of a dedicated Anioma State, underscoring its potential as a catalyst for comprehensive development in the area.

The interactive session drew participation from traditional rulers across Delta North senatorial district, underscoring widespread royal support for the initiative.
