16 Travellers Burnt To Death In Enugu Autocrash

Sixteen passengers were tragically burnt to death when a Toyota Hummer bus they were traveling in caught fire after crashing into a fence along Enugu/Opi/Nsukka Road in Ekwegbe, Enugu State. The accident occurred at about 5:20 pm, and the passengers, comprising 14 males and 2 females, died in the crash. The driver, who was reportedly speeding, lost control of the bus, leading to the collision. Two other passengers were rescued and taken to the hospital. The Enugu State Commissioner of Police visited the scene, and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident. The police extended condolences to the families of the deceased victims.

Umahi clarified that Landmark's infrastructure was spared during the demolition, as it was located within the right of way and shoreline. He dismissed Onwuanibe's claims, asserting that while Onwuanibe engages in politics, he focuses on engineering work.
