Section of Youths to Skip Ruto's X Space Meeting, Details

A section of Gen Z are expected to give President William Ruto's X space meeting a wide berth.

This is after Kenyans on X (formerly Twitter) announced they will hold a concurrent X Space alongside President Ruto's, scheduled for 2:00 PM.

An X user can only follow up on one space at a time.

Earlier, Ruto had invited youths and leaders to engage to his space.

On Thursday, Dr Ruto held a cabinet meeting to chart way forward following widespread criticism.

The Cabinet said that any officer who may have acted outside the confines of the law be dealt with in accordance with legal procedure and by the institutions mandated to do so.

Normalcy is returning to major towns and cities in the country following three weeks of anti-government protests that left more than 40 people dead, hundreds injured and property worth hundreds of millions damaged.

The capital, Nairobi saw the return to business as usual as most establishments opened on Thursday.

The protests which ran every Tuesday and Thursday for the last two weeks left more than 40 people dead, more than 600 injured and property worth billions of shillings destroyed after turning violent.
