"Are you abusing the Senator over conflict of interest?", one of the Senator could be heard asking as murmuring filled the room.

Sifuna then swiftly pleaded with his colleagues to stop murmuring and let him air out their disapproval so that the chairman of the Committee could rule on the matter.

Speaking before the Committee, Sifuna expressed his disapproval of the Committee's chairman, claiming that the chair had not acted as required by the law to protect him from the allegations made by Governor Sakaja.

The Nairobi Senator said that the chairman's should have asked the Governor to speak what he knew over the accusations, adding that it is a special week that the Senators had decided that they want nothing but the truth.

"Let the truth come out, we the Senators are in the week of truth," Sifuna said.

However, Senator Ali Roba who was chairing the Committee did not relent in defending himself from the Senators, claiming that all he wanted was nothing but an orderly manner of expression at the grilling.

But, the angry Senators were not satisfied with his explanations, as Sifuna warned that they will not allow him to get away with how he had ruled on the matter.

"We will not allow you to get away with this. We will not allow you," an angry Sifuna said.
