When the news broke that Chelsea were interested in signing Kieran Dewsbury Hall from Leicester City, the midfielder immediately called off his move to Brighton to join the Londoners. Only a few days have passed and it has now been confirmed that the Englishman will be joining Chelsea on a long-term contract.

Fabrizio Romano broke the news via his X account this afternoon and gave the details for the transfer. According to the Italian, Chelsea will be paying a fee of £30 million to Leicester City to acquire the services of their central midfielder.

Personal terms with the player have also been agreed and he is reportedly on his way to London for a medical and contract signing. He provided a total of 27 goals and assists for Leicester in their title-winning season last year and is considered to be one of their best players.

Dewsbury Hall was said to be keen on the move from the onset and will be thrilled to work with his former manager once again. Hall's contract will last until 2030 and he becomes the first high-profile signing for the Blues under Enzo Maresca. He is a central midfielder who is attack-minded and will compete with players like Carney Chukwuemeka, Romeo Lavia, and Cole Palmer for a place in the team.

It will be exciting to see how Maresca utilizes the skills of Kiernan next season but for now, a pre-season is in the sights for Dewsbury Hall.

Welcome to Chelsea the home of 2-time Champions League winners, Kiernan Dewsbury Hall.
