But transfer journalist Matteo Moretto has assured that United are looking at other targets, amid talks with Matthijs de Ligt of Bayern Munich. De Ligt is said to have given his green light to signing for United ahead of fee negotiations with Bayern.

Manchester United has confirmed that Tom Heaton has signed a new one-year contract at the club. The 38-year-old has been Manchester United's third-choice goalkeeper since returning to his boyhood club in 2021. While Heaton has not been a first-team regular for some time, he has 380 senior club appearances to his name. Heaton has also won three England caps, with his most recent game for the Three Lions coming back in 2017.

Kimmich keen on joining City

According to Daily Star, Bayern Munich midfielder,.Joshua Kimmich is keen on joining Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, according to the Daily Star. Kimmich wants to be reunited with Guardiola and has told his representatives he wants to head to the Etihad over any other move. The Manchester City manager was responsible for taking him from RB Leipzig to Bayern in January 2015 and the player wants another spell under him in England.
