Tinubu sends important message to Fashola

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated former Governor of Lagos, Babatunde Raji Fashola in commemoration of his 61st birthday.

This is contained in a statement issued by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale on Saturday.

Tinubu said Fashola is a highly esteemed lawyer, administrator, author, essayist, and prolific fount of public policy ideation, iteration, and analysis.

The statement said Fashola has had a brilliant career trajectory – in private practice as a lawyer and in public service. He was the Chief of Staff when President Tinubu was the Governor of Lagos State and had served in various capacities before his election as the Governor of the state in 2007.

Why I’m Still Single – Don Jazzy

Nigerian producer and music executive, Michael Collins Ajereh, AKA Don Jazzy, has revealed he is still single at 41.

According to him, he is yet to get married because he is an “ashawo.”

Don Jazzy disclosed this while reacting to a post by an X user accusing him of frolicking with Instagram “baddies.”

The user with the handle @Ugbede_ wrote, “Once you open any baddies page on instagram, the first thing you’ll see is ‘followed by don jazzy’. That man is everywhere.”

We’ll make Edo first world sub-national, Ighodalo reassures indigenes in Germany

It was yet another great outing for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, Dr Asue Ighodalo, on Friday night in Hamburg, Germany, in continuation of his engagement with Edo Diaspora in Europe.

At the meeting, Ighodalo reiterated his determination, working with his running mate, Barr Osarodion Ogie and a sound team, to make Edo State a first world sub-national in Nigeria.

The engagement with Edo Diaspora Community in Europe ahead of the September election had taken him to Reggio Emilia, Italy; Manchester, and London in the UK and will end on Saturday night with a similar engagement in Nuremberg.

Police investigating IED explosion in Rivers – Spokesperson

The Police Command in Rivers is currently investigating an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) detonation that occurred near Hotel Presidential in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, an official said.

SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the spokesperson of the command, said in a statement in Port Harcourt on Saturday that one male suspect had been apprehended.

She urged residents to remain calm as police detectives were actively pursuing leads to identify the sponsors and perpetrators behind the explosion.
