Twenty days from now, sampling will begin - Asemakaha

The Benue State Government (BNSG) has started building its brewery, which is anticipated to launch in December 2024 and cost N800 million.

Within the next twenty days, the company will extend an invitation to the people of Benue to try the beer, according to the project manager, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, who is also the MD/CEO of BIPC.

In addition, he mentioned that the state's residents, at five secret sites yet to be revealed by the firm, will be sampling the beer.

This was revealed by the MD/CEO of BIPC during an inspection of the current project in the Akile community at kilometer 16 on the Makurdi–Gboko road in Benue state.

The malting, milling, and fermentation procedures that go into making beer have progressed to a significant point, according to daily independent studies, and will culminate in the correct sample of the beer in a few weeks.

Whether the corporation will hire a sommelier to do more tastings of the beer is still unknown to Daily Independent.

So, the head of the BIPC encouraged the residents of the state to make the most of the new opportunity by cultivating sorghum and casava, two of the primary ingredients used to make the beer.

Accompanied by BIPC management personnel, Asemakaha observed the development at the site of the construction. Additionally, he conveyed his aim for the project's timely completion.

"According to His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia's vision, this brewery, which is expected to be finished soon, will have a backward integration for thousands of Benue farmers, contribute to the growth of the economy, and provide direct jobs for hundreds of youths," he stated.

The BIPC, boss, was updated on the progress of the work so far during a site tour conducted by Arch Jerry Iosun, Department Head of Real Estate and Infrastructure, and Philip Zegejir, Project Programme Manager.

According to BIPC, the building of the brewery will have a good effect on the people of Benue State and is a major step in the state's growth.

If you go back to earlier in May, Dr. Asemakaha said that the factory would prevent capital flight—a loss of around N700 million to N1 billion per month—once it was fully operational. End.
