"Ruto is Our Son, We Want to Protect Him" Says Chaik MCA Korir as UDA Supporters Restore Wheelbarrow

In a dramatic display of loyalty and defiance, hundreds of UDA supporters in Kericho gathered to reinstall the party's symbol, a wheelbarrow, in the town's CBD. The symbolic gesture came after the wheelbarrow was toppled during protests against the Finance Bill, a move seen as targeting Deputy President William Ruto's political base.

Led by Chaik Ward MCA Mathew Korir, local youth, elders, and community leaders marched through the streets of Kericho, chanting slogans reaffirming their allegiance to Ruto and the UDA party. Traditional rites were performed by an elder before the wheelbarrow was carefully put back in its place, symbolizing the resilience and determination of Ruto's supporters.

"We are here to protect our son, William Ruto," declared MCA Mathew Korir, emphasizing the deep-rooted support for the Deputy President within the community. He praised Kenya Kwanza lawmakers for their stance on the Finance Bill and stressed that the electorate alone should have the power to determine Ruto's fate.

The reinstallation ceremony was not just a symbolic act but a powerful statement against political adversaries who seek to undermine Ruto's influence in the region. Korir underscored that Ruto has been instrumental in the development of Kericho and vowed that their support for him would only grow stronger.

"The wheelbarrow represents our resilience and hard work," said one of the youth leaders participating in the event. "It's more than just a symbol; it's a sign of our unity behind Ruto and our determination to protect his vision for Kenya."

As the sun set over Kericho, the restored wheelbarrow stood tall amidst cheers and applause from the crowd, signaling that despite challenges, William Ruto's supporters in Kericho remain steadfast in their support for their 'son' and leader.
