In a blistering post on his verified Facebook account, former Senator Dino Melaye has issued a stark warning to Yahaya Bello, urging him to confront his challenges head-on instead of evading accountability. Melaye's message, directed at Bello amid ongoing investigations by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), serves as a poignant reminder of the consequences of alleged wrongdoing.
Melaye, in his words, he said; "Yahaya Bello, it's better to face your demons instead of perpetually running away from them (EFCC). Karma Is Real," The use of the term "demons" alludes to the allegations of financial impropriety and misuse of public funds that have surfaced against Bello.
The EFCC's involvement in probing Bello's financial transactions, particularly the purported withdrawal of $720,000 from state coffers to pay exorbitant school fees, has intensified scrutiny on the former governor's actions.
According to Sahara Reporters, the payment of the school fees was made since September 2021, was intended to cover the education of four family members from their current classes until graduation, with provisions made for future enrolments.
