Former governor Nyesom Wike and current governor Fubara had a falling out, according to lawyer Tamuno Williams.
Williams claims that upon taking office, Governor Fubara first promised to refrain from getting into arguments with Wike. According to him, Wike had a lot of say in how Rivers State was run in the first half of Fubara's term.
Williams made it look like Governor Fubara was a puppet in a video (15:02) that Channels TV published, in which she claimed that Fubara was not permitted to make important appointments and that the Rivers state planes were controlled by Wike.
"Even the state aircraft were under the control of former Governor Wike. The picture was that Governor Fubara was supposed/meant to be a puppet; he was supposed to be just an occupier," Tamuno Williams revealed in a newly released video. Actually, most people thought that Governor Wike's term would be extended during Fubara's first term.
