Pro-Wike Lawmakers:I do not know what they hold on to, I do not see any course of joy–Festus Ogwuche

In a candid interview on Arise TV, a Lawyer, Festus Ogwuche asserted that the Court of Appeal's decision on the Rivers State House of Assembly dispute has not significantly altered the situation, as there have been neither gains nor losses for any party involved.

He suggested that the only options available to the involved parties are to initiate a new legal action at the Federal High Court or appeal the decision at the Supreme Court, in hopes of gaining a clearer understanding of the Court of Appeal's ruling.

He questioned the reasoning behind the jubilation of pro-Wike Lawmakers, expressing uncertainty about their reasons for celebration.

He said, "There's nothing that is gained from the decision of the Appeal Court, there's is nothing is lost. The only alternative available for the parties is to go and initiate a fresh action at the Federal High Court or appeal the decision at the Supreme Court, where we can have better understanding of what the Court of Appeal is saying. The people jubilating, I don't know what they are holding on to. I do not see what is there that gives them any course of joy."
