Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar III has stated that the Northwest is the largest and most populated region in the country, and its votes play a significant role in determining the outcome of presidential elections.
In a video shared by Channels TV, Abubakar emphasized the characteristics of the Northwest people, describing them as humble, inclusive, and God-fearing. He expressed confidence that with faith in God, the region would overcome its current security challenges.
In Abubakar's words: "Our region is the biggest region and most populated region where all the votes count to make somebody president, so we know what northwest is and we know what Northwest is not. We know we are humble people, we know we reach out to everybody, we know we fear God almighty and God in his infinite mercy will bring an end to all the security challenges facing us in this country, particularly in this region"
