According to the report from the Sun News, In a recent statement, Governor Hope Uzodinma, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), emphasized that the prevailing general hardship in the country is primarily attributed to global economic challenges rather than the ruling party's policies.
During a visit to the party's secretariat, Governor Uzodinma addressed the purpose of their presence, particularly following the controversial primary election incident in Edo. He stated, "How can you ask a man why he is in his own house? We, as APC governors, are here in Abuja for a meeting out of our commitment to the party and loyalty to its leadership. It is essential for us to engage with the party's leadership, including the chairman and members of the National Working Committee. Furthermore, we came to offer our condolences to the chairman on the loss of his mother-in-law and demonstrate solidarity with the party's management."
In response to the governors' visit, Governor Ganduje expressed delight, stating, "We were eagerly awaiting their arrival today, and it is indeed a great blessing for us. We hold them in high regard and have full confidence in them. Our goal is to nurture strong relationships with governors nationwide, safeguard their interests, and acknowledge their significant contributions to the party, thereby upholding the party's integrity as an institution."
