Man United's striker, Rasmus Hojlund had a challenging outing as Denmark was held to a 1-1 draw against Slovenia at the Stuttgart Arena on Sunday in their Euro 2024 opener, according to People's Person.

Denmark started on a high note, with Christian Eriksen scoring just 17 minutes into the game.

The goal followed a well-coordinated move where Hojlund won a throw-in.

The ball found its way into the penalty area, where Jonas Wind's backheel pass reached Eriksen. He controlled the ball with his chest and skillfully directed it into the bottom corner.

Despite Denmark's early lead, Slovenia gradually took control of the game. RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko was a constant threat to the Danish defense, creating several dangerous opportunities.

Slovenia’s persistence paid off in the 77th minute. Erik Janza's powerful shot took a significant deflection, leaving Denmark's goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel, unable to save it as the ball rolled into the net.

Hojlund, who played for 83 minutes, had a quiet game. He managed just one shot on target, forcing a save from Slovenia’s Jan Oblak.

Despite attempting four dribbles, he was unable to successfully complete any. He also missed a crucial chance that could have secured a victory for Denmark.

During his time on the field, Hojlund had 28 touches and completed 15 out of 17 passes, achieving an 88% pass accuracy.

However, he struggled in duels, winning just one out of eight ground battles and two out of three aerial contests. Additionally, he lost possession nine times and made one clearance.
