According to a report by Daily Post, Tragedy struck in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Wednesday as bandits attacked and killed six people, leaving several others injured.
The incident was confirmed by the member representing Sanga Constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Gandu.
According to Hon. Gandu, the bandits invaded the community in the early hours of Wednesday, shooting sporadically and killing six people on the spot. He described the attack as "devastating" and "unacceptable".
"I condemn this heinous act in its entirety," Hon. Gandu said. "The killing of innocent citizens is unacceptable and we will do everything possible to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice."
The lawmaker also expressed concern over the rising cases of banditry and kidnapping in the state, calling on the government to intensify efforts to combat the menace.
"We urge the government to take drastic measures to address the security challenges facing our state," he said. "We cannot continue to lose innocent lives to these criminals."
The attack on Sanga LGA is the latest in a series of bandit attacks in Kaduna State, leaving many to wonder if the government is doing enough to protect citizens.
