On 2nd July, 2024 the Deputy National Youth Leader of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Timothy Osadolor while reacting to the recent statement of the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara that they were no longer doing party, they were doing a movement because the PDP had failed them, revealed that there was nothing that Governor Fubara wanted the PDP to do that the party had not done for him, the party was in court over the ongoing Rivers State political crisis, but when the party demanded Governor Fubara's support for the court cases, he did not support the party.

According to Punch Newspaper, the Deputy National Youth Leader of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Timothy Osadolor said “I am sure Governor Fubara would have realized that he made an unfortunate statement. It is unfortunate. First, there is nothing he wants the party to do that the party has not done for him. The party is in court over the same Rivers State matter. When the party demanded the governor’s support for the court cases, Fubara did not support the party. On the issue of the state executive, the National Working Committee took a general decision to extend the tenure of the serving executive, pending a congress. So, he cannot start asking the NWC to probate and reprobate at a time. He has been a politician, but you don’t need to be a politician to understand the workings of the Constitution."

If you could recall, some days ago the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara while receiving the Senate Committee on Privatisation and Commercialisation at the Rivers State Government House in Port Harcourt, said that in Rivers State, they were no longer doing party, they were doing a movement because the PDP had failed them, and what they were doing was to stand with their two legs on the soil of the State so that they could defend democracy and the interest of the good people of the State.
