Chief George Moghalu, one of the founding fathers of the ruling All Progressives Congress is the pioneer National Auditor of the party.

He was reelected to same office after four years but was midway appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland Waterways Authority NIWA.

In this interview, the APC chieftain from Anambra state who was recently rumoured to have ditched the party for Labour Party LP, says the APC has a lot of work to do ahead of the next general election. He also speaks on the proposed single term of 6 years for the president and state governors, and also x-rayed the chances of his state Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo in the 2026 governorship election in the state.

Fed govt opens application for N110bn youth fund

The federal government is set to open applications this month to facilitate increased access to financial support for young entrepreneurs through the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF).

A budget of N110 billion has been allocated to rejuvenate the NYIF, aimed at empowering youths across the country.

Dr. Jamila Bio-Ibrahim, Minister of Youth Development, announced this initiative during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2024 Batch B Stream I corps members at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp in Paiko, Niger State.

Edo 2024: Ighodalo’s kinsmen hinge APC’s criticism on fear of defeat

BENIN CITY – SOME kinsmen of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Asue Ighodalo have said that members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) criticizing him and his running mate, Osarodion Ogie Esq. We’re doing so because they fear the imminent defeat awaiting them.

They have therefore vowed to deliver block votes for them come September 31.

They said Ighodalo over the years has continued to identify with the plights of the downtrodden in his community with the provision of basic amenities without making noise about it, noting that they are excited that he is gunning for the office of the governor and are ready to reciprocate his kind gesture by voting for him and his deputy.

NYCN Europe appoints Ugorji youth leader in Scandinavian countries

The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Europe Chapter has appointed Honourable Ken Ugorji as youth coordinator in the Scandinavian countries.

The governor of the group in Europe, Collins Idahosa stated this during a chat with Vanguard on the activities of the council in the last few months.

He said the appointment of Ken Ugorji will impact positively on the youth in that part of Europe, describing Ugorji as a seasoned journalist, businessman, and politician with a long history of public service and community leadership.
