The Tuesday protests in the country were marred with chaos and criminal violence which included looting of businesses in different towns. As seen in videos that were making rounds on the internet, people vandalized private property and escaped with property worth millions of money.
However, it has been revealed that those who were involved in such activities are not the Gen Z protesters but goons and criminals hired by some influential people in the country. Police officers after investigating the occurrences of last week and this week have come up with a list of some of the people that are allegedly funding the criminals.
According to a news report by NTV Kenya, 6 politicians, one businessman and two non governmental organizations are actively involved in the protests to fund goons. The government has now put these individuals on the radar and plans to deal with them accordingly.
People have lost a lot of property because of the protests and many don't know what to do with their lives. The businesses is what they depended on for livelihood but now they are gone.
