We Know About Sunday Igboho, Rehabilitated Boko Haram. Why Is Nnamdi Kanu's Case Different?-Kenneth

Online sources state that Nnamdi Kanu, who has been imprisoned for months since his arrest, has been the subject of several calls for his release in recent days. Among the notable references are the Labour Party's Peter Obi, who called on President Tinubu to free Nnamdi Kanu, and a few governors from the Southeast who wanted to meet to discuss Tinubu's predicament.

In the midst of that, it has sparked curiosity, and in response to similar stories, attorney Kenneth Okonkwo questioned whether Nnamdi Kanu's situation is unique in an interview with Arise News. Kenneth Okonkwo stated the following in the video that was uploaded to X:

"Nnamdi Kanu has not done anything that other people from other zone have not done. We know about Sunday Igboho, the Yoruba nation agitator. We know of the Boko Haram people that say they want a different country. These people have been released. Not just released, they have been rehabilitated back into society. Why is Nnamdi Kanu's case different?

There's an ethnic and unnecessary bias that is keeping that man (Nnamdi Kanu) in jail. The government should be wise enough to release this man using the Julian Assange option if they don't want to say they are losing face or release him conditionally, unconditionally".
