Enzo Fernandez to Chelsea faces one final hurdle (Sky Sports)

With time running out before the deadline, there is reportedly optimism from Chelsea that a deal can get done for Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

The lone hold-up, according to Sky Sports, is that the Blues want to pay six instalments over five years, while Benfica want three payments in two years. Chelsea’s reply was that, to pay in two calendar years, they want to pay less of a fee up-front.

Logistics for a medical are all set up if an agreement is reached.

Man Utd make Kamada enquiry

Manchester United have enquired about Eintracht Frankfurt forward Daichi Kamada, according to the Mail.

The 26-year-old versatile attacker has scored seven goals in 16 Bundesliga games this season alongside four assists, and starred for Japan at the World Cup.

Everton going for Zaniolo

Corriere dello Sport have claimed that Everton are now hoping to sign want-away Roma star Nicola Zaniolo.

The 23-year-old Italian midfielder turned down the chance to join Bournemouth last week but still wants to leave Rome before the deadline, prompting Everton to express their interest.

It comes after the Athletic reported that former Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi turned down the chance to leave Fenerbahce and help the Toffees battle relegation.

Porro to sign Tottenham contract soon

Pedro Porro is expected to sign his Tottenham contract at 9pm.

It’s a saga that has dragged on for the whole month, but Sporting and Spurs have finally reached an agreement.

With Djed Spence and Matt Doherty leaving on loan, Porro will be coming in as Antonio Conte finally gets his man.

No buy option included in Sabitzer deal

Marcel Sabitzer's move to Manchester United from Bayern Munich will be a straight loan with no option to buy included in the agreement, according to reports in Germany.

Sport1 claim there is no pre-agreed fee between the clubs for United to make the switch permanent.

Chelsea were also linked with Sabitzer but the Austria international looks to be on his way to Old Trafford. Chelsea are working hard to finalise the signing on Enzo Fernandez from Benfica before the deadline

DONE DEAL: Perez heads home

Ayoze Perez will spend the next five months back in his homeland with Real Betis after finalising a temporary departure from Leciester City.

There's no option to buy in this deal.
