The Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Ibrahim Abdullahi has alleged that the court did not issue any consequential order regarding the primary or the PDP candidate, Asue Ighodalo.

He clarified that the judgment instead confirmed the validity of the primary election. He emphasized that the delegate's counsel should be reprimanded for misleadingly suggesting there was a consequential order. He stated that this misrepresentation by the delegate's counsel has caused unnecessary confusion. He asserted that they will appeal the judgment, reaffirming their position in accordance with the law.

He said in an interview with Arise TV, "The judgment entails that the primary still remains valid. However, the interpretation was the bone of contention at the court. The counsel of the delegate needs to be cautioned for giving the impression that there was a consequential order. There was no consequential order by my Lord to that effect. We are certainly going to appeal the judgment, and that is the position of the law. There was no order stating that our candidate has been invalidated or disqualified."
