Tinubu Approves Grant for 3.6 Million Nigerian Families, Boosts Economic Growth

According to vanguard news President Bola Tinubu has just approved a substantial grant to assist 3.6 million Nigerian families through the National Construction and Household Support Programme. This initiative will provide N50,000 to $100,000 to families in each state over a three-month period. According to Tinubu, "This program is crucial for boosting agricultural productivity and stimulating economic growth across Nigeria. The Sokoto-Badagry Highway, for instance, plays a pivotal role in supporting our agricultural sector and overall economic development."

Tinubu stressed the urgency of increasing food production and called on state governors to collaborate effectively. He stated, "We need to work together to meet the needs of our citizens. I am committed to supporting agricultural mechanization and irrigation to ensure sustainable food production."

In addition to the grant, Tinubu highlighted plans for significant infrastructure projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Port Harcourt-Maiduguri Railway. He emphasized, "These projects aim to provide economic relief and create opportunities in agriculture, manufacturing, and construction."

During the National Economic Council meeting, Tinubu urged proactive measures to achieve targets and emphasized the importance of timely implementation. He committed to supporting states in implementing crucial reforms and improving agricultural processes to enhance food security and economic stability across Nigeria.
