According to Daily Post, Adams Oshiomhole, Senator representing Edo North, has categorically denied any involvement by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the crisis plaguing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State. In a recent interview with journalists in Abuja, Oshiomhole emphasized that the law prohibits APC from interfering in PDP's internal conflicts, particularly regarding their primary election.

The Abuja Federal High Court had earlier nullified PDP's governorship primary election, which produced Asue Ighodalo as the party's candidate, due to the unlawful exclusion of 378 delegates. Oshiomhole stressed that the issue is an intra-party conflict, and APC cannot intervene in PDP's legal matters. He emphasized that the divisions within Edo PDP are well-known and that the party's legacy group has been complaining about being marginalized by the party's leadership.

By distancing APC from PDP's crisis, Oshiomhole has put to rest speculation about APC's involvement in the matter. His comments come as PDP continues to navigate its internal crisis in Edo State, following the court's decision to nullify their primary election.
