Igo Aguma, a former interim chairman of Rivers State's All Progressive Congress (APC), shared his thoughts on the current political unrest in the state.

There are rumors that the governor of the state, Siminalayi Fubara, has secret intentions to demolish the Assembly quarters. These allegations are made by the members headed by Amaewhule in the Rivers State House of Assembly Hall.

This accusation came after the governor made an unexpected trip to the quarters.

Aguma, however, brought up the red pen the governor uses to sign documents, pointing out that ultimately the ink will dry and that Fubara, the governor, will provide explanations of how the power is being used.

Igo Aguma, a leader in the APC, stated in a video uploaded by Arise News, "The red bird will run dry one day, and you will be made to answer. It has not been appealed against."

"I also want to let him know that Rivers people will muster all democratic institutions in the world to defend democracy. We will not run away, we will fight him back."
