Arsenal is reportedly on the verge of completing a massive transfer deal for Sporting and Sweden striker Viktor Gyokeres. According to goal news, the Gunners are "extremely close" to finalizing the transfer, with only financial concerns needing to be resolved.

The reported fee for Gyokeres is estimated to be around €90 million, with add-ons potentially pushing the total amount to €120 million. This would make the 26-year-old one of the most expensive signings in Arsenal's history.

"Arsenal are reportedly extremely close to completing the transfer of Gyokeres; just financial concerns need to be resolved... An estimated €90 million will be paid by Arsenal; add-ons might push that amount to €120 million," according to Leonino.

Gyokeres has been impressive in his first season in Portugal, scoring 43 goals and establishing himself as one of the most prolific strikers in Europe. His form has caught the attention of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who is keen to add a lethal presence to his attack.

While the signing of Gyokeres would be a significant coup for Arsenal, some have raised concerns about the hefty price tag. With the Gunners also in need of a midfielder to partner Declan Rice, some have questioned whether spending such a large sum on one player is wise.

Only time will tell if Gyokeres can justify his massive transfer fee and lead Arsenal to success in the upcoming season.
