The senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Ireti Kingibe has responded to someone who questioned why she seemed angry and bitter about not being carried along in the execution of projects by Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
The user's question came in response to a recent post where Ireti Kingibe highlighted her achievements as FCT Senator over the past year.
The X User simply identified as Livinus Bogante Jnr inquired whether Kingibe had informed Wike or involved him before sponsoring bills, moving motions, or executing projects in the FCT.
"My question is did you inform Wike or carry him along before you sponsored bills, moved motions or executed these projects in FCT? Why are you bitter and angry that Wike is not carrying you along in the execution of projects in the FCT?" the X User wrote.
However, the Lawmaker in her response clarified that she is not bitter. She said she is focused on the well-being of the people.
She stated that her efforts are minimal compared to the potential benefits if the Minister who is not accountable to the people, collaborates with someone genuinely interested in the people's welfare.
"Correction. I am not bitter. I am only interested in the wellbeing of the people. What I have done is a spit in the bucket compared to what the people can get if the Minister who isn't accountable to the people, works with the person who has the interest of the people at heart," Ireti Kingibe wrote.
