opera.com 2024/5/20

Chelsea aims to continue their winning streak as they face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground this Saturday, as Mauricio Pochettino eyes Europa League qualification. Following their impressive 5-0 victory over West Ham, Chelsea moved to seventh place in the Premier League, above Manchester United in goal difference.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side, meanwhile, secured a 3-1 win against Sheffield United, with Callum Hudson-Odoi showcasing impressive form. Nottingham Forest, despite having their point-deduction appeal rejected, is anticipated to approach the match with determination and a sense of injustice.

Chelsea will seek to build on their recent success, maintaining their momentum against Nottingham Forest.

Injury Update.

Chelsea right back Reece James has returned to first team training following an extended period on the sidelines. Although it's too early for the Englishman to be thrown into games, his return is a boost for the Blues as they fight to secure a place in Europe this season.

Enzo Fernandez, on the other hand, will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing groin surgery. The good news is that he's begun a rehabilitation program as he works hard to be fit before the preseason.

It's yet to be known when the likes of Ben Chilwell, Lesley Ugochukwu, Romeo Lavia, and goalkeeper Robert Sanchez will be fit.

Kickoff Time.

The game will be played at the City Ground Stadium on Saturday at exactly 5:30 p.m.

Predicted Chelsea XI to face Nottingham Forest: Petrovic, Gusto, Silva, Badiashile, Cucurella, Caicedo, Gallagher, Madueke, Palmer, Mudryk, Jackson.
