The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command recently paraded Sunday Musa, alias Dan Gwari, a Point of Sale (PoS) operator accused of trafficking sex workers to bandit camps and distributing money to their families in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Commissioner of Police Benneth Igweh disclosed this while presenting the suspect at the FCT command headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday. Musa was apprehended during a coordinated clearance operation by the command's anti-kidnap unit in Kagarko.

According to Igweh, the suspect also served as the main informant and logistics supplier for bandit groups operating under the command of Ardo, who is currently evading arrest. Musa confessed to facilitating the movement of nurses, drugs, and sex workers as per the bandits' requests.

"The suspect admitted to acting as a financial courier, responsible for distributing over N20 million to the families of bandits," CP Igweh stated. He added that Musa confirmed the bandits, under the leadership of Ardo, are armed with AK-47 rifles and comprise more than 15 members.

Additionally, Igweh revealed that the police arrested 41-year-old housewife Ruqquaya Ibrahim, a resident of Sabon-Wuse, Niger State, for allegedly supplying food and logistics to bandits. Ibrahim confessed to providing food supplies to a group led by Shumau, who is currently at large.

The commissioner noted that Ibrahim was apprehended at Gidan-Dogo forest while en route to deliver food to the bandits. Subsequently, she led the police to Shumau’s hideout, where they recovered 14 rustled cows.
