Top Nigerian striker Iheanacho has drawn transfer interest from two Premier league sides who looks to battle it out for his signature.

Iheanacho is currently attracting a lot of transfer interest as reports claims he is prepared to leave Leicester City this summer. The Nigerian striker who once did his trade with Manchester City has seen his stock rise recently following his all season performance for the foxes as they went on to lift the championship tittle while also returning to the EPL following their last season relegation.

According to The Sun, Aston Villa has enquired about the Super Eagles man's availability and are willing to make an offer for him at the end of the current campaign.

The Nigeria international has also been linked with Crystal Palace as well as Turkish side Trabzonspor who are willing to sign him should they fail to secure the signature of their first choice target Paul Onuachu, another Nigerian.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery wants to bolster his attacking line ahead of the new campaign by signing another forward this summer and wants Iheanacho to be the man to make that step up.

For now, Ollie Watkins is the first choice striker at Villa Park and it is unlikely for that to change very fast at the moment or anytime soon as the English man is currently in top form and would definitely reduce Iheanacho to a backup striker.

Should this move materialize, we could see the Nigerian striker play in the UCL next season as The Villans stand a good chance of participating in the UEFA Champions League next campaign given their current position in the league.

HIS CONTRACT SITUATION.

Iheanacho will be a free agent by the end of the season as his contract with Leicester City will be ending this summer. The striker has reportedly turned down every effort made by the club to renew his contract and is said to be seeking a new challenge.
