As reported by Punch, the Nigerian Defense Headquarters is taking serious steps in response to reports of Sahel jihadists entering Nigeria through the Benin Republic. According to Edward Buba, Director of Defense Media Operations, "We've adjusted our strategies to track down and deal with these terrorists, especially focusing on protecting farmers during the rainy season." He also noted, "Our operations have already led to the elimination of 220 terrorists and the rescue of 202 hostages, and we've seized a significant amount of their weapons."

Buba went on to explain, "Down in the South-South region, our troops have been successful in stopping oil theft and shutting down illegal refining activities. We've confiscated large quantities of crude oil and refined products." These actions highlight our commitment to bolstering national security and tackling terrorism across Nigeria.

"Our proactive approach is all about rooting out terrorist hideouts, disrupting their operations, and securing communities that are at risk," Buba stressed. "By neutralizing these threats and ensuring the safety of our people, we aim to bring stability and peace to every corner of the country."
