The Rivers State House of Assembly, presided over by Victor Oko-Jumbo, has declared that it will appeal the Court of Appeal's ruling on Thursday regarding the assembly issue.

Victor Oko-Jumbo, stated that he and his members thought the Court of Appeal made a mistake in its ruling. The speaker expressed his strong belief that the Court of Appeal made a mistake in ruling that the Rivers State High Court lacked the authority to hear and decide COMPLAINT NO. PHC/1512/CS/2024.

We genuinely think that the Court of Appeal erred in holding that the Rivers State High Court lacked the authority to hear and rule on COMPLAINT NO. PHC/1512/CS/2024," the spokesperson stated.
