In response to Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike's recent criticism of Senator Ireti Kingibe, former presidential candidate Dele Momodu has taken to social media to express his reaction.

Minister Nyesom Wike had criticized Senator Ireti Kingibe for claiming that the people of Abuja were dissatisfied with his alleged refusal to build schools, healthcare facilities, and provide water and security. Wike retorted that if Senator Kingibe did not like what he was doing in Abuja, she should "go and hug a transformer."

Reacting to this statement, Dele Momodu posted on his official Instagram account, condemning Wike's remarks. He highlighted that a 56-year-old man had insulted a 70-year-old woman, who is also a senator, on national television, and criticized the National Assembly for not addressing Wike's behavior.

Momodu wrote:

"Power drunkenness (PUN intended... A 56-year-old man insulting a 70-year-old woman, a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, telling her to go and hug a transformer and die, on national television, and the National Assembly has not called the bluff of this man who acts like Nigeria now has two presidents...

"What a shame on all our democratic institutions!!"

Momodu also questioned how many votes Nyesom Wike allegedly gave to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that allowed him to act with such impunity in Rivers State, FCT, and other parts of Nigeria. He added that being praised as "Mr. Project" does not justify Wike's behavior, suggesting that it has led him to act as though he were above others.
